If you learn French abroad like me in Europe and you try to earn some extra student money with a blog like me, then you know with the dollar kind of drowning… you need to blog a lot before you can go to any restaurant.
Unless you are lucky and study in Leuven. They have a few restaurants sponsored by the university called Alma. Kind of big "cantina" but with prices at 3 Euro "only" … that’s considered manageable in Europe!
So if you are on a diet : the best place to do it is not cooking in your own kitchen and only going for restaurants in Europe. After 3 days your budget will be so busted that you have no other choice than to slim down the hard way: no food intake.
There is another student restaurant here called Cedes which caters more to an international pallet, which basically means: in stead of French fries, they serve rice
Nothing beats home-cooking except that’s how I get rice between my study books. And that’s not good because rice sticks!
