You are nicely blogging away about humanity, things of life, humor spreading your thoughts about the world. You are a mom as well and well, babies drink milk so you post a picture of yourself breastfeeding and tadaa: Facebook closes your account.

Hmmmm, what are the oddities about that? Maybe the people at Facebook never ever got the chance to be fed with milk, therefore the only logical uproar would be: if I can’t get it, nobody can!

Ok, I blog about my daily things in life, brush my teeth: can I put a picture about that? Or do I need to ask? Whom do I ask? Oh. boobs and breasts are off limits? That’s the rule? Oh, well, Britney Spears, Paris Hilton or Vanessa Hudgens maybe would agree, but if I really want to depict myself and my baby in a tender moment of the day, I cannot? You mean paparazzi entertainment is allowed, family pictures not?

alizee boobsOr are we too stupid to admit we made a mistake? Few months ago my Alizee avatar got deleted on Mybloglog. Now it was not showing any boobs, just a picture taken during an on stage performance… What was wrong with that? According to mybloglog that’s adult content. Jeeeez, looking at the community members, they are all above 6 years old so they can take a little nudity I would guess?

Never mind, if we cannot see Vanessa Hudgens’ boobs, Britney Spears’ boobs, Jean Louisa Kelly’s boobs, Lindsay Lohan’s boobs, Paris Hilton’s boobs, Shyamali Malakar’s boobs… we luckily just need to tune in to the many plastic surgery and lap band shows: I guarantee you : the man boobs shown at times are bigger than, well, let’s say mine to start with! Show! Bigger is better!

    Hi:

I think this “section of life” (Breastfeeding and so forth) is still out of bounds from public lines because of the current society’s abberations as regards to women’s breasts.

I stand somewhat in the middle as, on a personal note I think seeing a baby suckling is a beautiful thing, as any other compositions featuring nurturing of youth. It has its own human beauty that shows that our future promises well.

On the other hand, a woman’s breasts minus the child is a very, very… erhm… very, erogenic item for me as well as many other men. It’s sexual, its there, and its a sexual item. Personally I tend to be intimidated by stunning women that have too much of a cleavage and I can’t just… be myself. I become shy. In events that do not allow for sexuality to enter (i.e., work) I appreciate that both parties show conservatism in their attire and demeaner in order for me (at least for me!) to keep a clearer head.

For me, as soon as “baby” enters the frame, the breast no longer holds an erogenic nature. Perhaps a curiosity to “find out how they look after all” — or perhaps wish to be in the child’s position! But its like an ON/OFF switch. Nothing erogenic here. Completely analytical thoughts, you see, nothing from the impulsive nature of sex. Unfortunately, in this world, there are many that do not have that natural OFF switch. It’s always ON. And I would rather have one’s breasts conceiled to feed the child than to see a person defiling that innocence of a baby suckling a breast. Personally, yes.

Is it the ideal? No, but its the less of two evils.

I could probably put myself in the shoes of a moderator, and think about a picture that was artistically and professionally done with accent on the child’s face more than the breast, I would let it pass.

If I see another with a common scene, the full thing popped out like nothing in the world. Eh. No. Arbitrary thought, but I think necessary.

I thought one day about what if women could walk barechested casually as men do in North America? God, well as far as our culture and my own case is concerned; I would probably be fixated (or disgusted) in very many occasions. I think the current slow integration movement is rather fine. It comes in with the generations, with the movement of the culture, not radically changing the morals of the group by protests.

Oh, and on Facebook, usually, you have to file a complaint for the pictures to be even viewed by moderators. Check your rears.

    Best:

    A.
