Talking about cozy little towns: if you ever want to study German in Germany or Austria, then opt for Tübingen! Notice the cute 2 dots on the "u" 
Tübingen is like Leuven, Belgium (where I study French) a little student town with a majority of students: about 24.000 of them, of which about 5% are foreign students like I was last summer 
Tübingen is completely in the south of Germany (if you go in September, you can taste the new sweet wine, that’s a must do!!!, you can get them in plastic boxes of 5 litres…. Shhhh, I was there to study only! )
Set on the Neckar River in southern Germany near Stuttgart, Tübingen provides an amazing beautiful, cute and cozy town
