Wild for food that is! Now they say that Belgium is famous for its French fries. if that’s the case I wonder, then why do they call it French fries and not Belgian fries? I love to tease the Belgians with this question
But in stead of discussing, they pointed me out to the best French fries shop in Leuven: which is in the Brusselsestraat next to the St-Pieterskerk (church of St-Peter).
It’s a small gray church and at the side there is this little ‘van’ selling really the best French fries in the world! Must be because they use real fresh potatoes, not the frozen food you get nowadays everywhere.
But what I like the most is eating my French fries opposite the road, in a very tiny pedestrian passage next to the river with behind me the remaining of a real Roman wall. Kind of eating French fries in 2000 years old Rome. See: that’s what I call eating plus at the same time studying history and nature
