Where is Normandy
If you are a grandfather, then you know that Normandy harbors the French coastline where in World War 2 the Americans and Canadians landed and started there last offensive against the Germans.

But what is even more special about Normandy is that it harbors a Scandinavian minority culture, so basically if you want to learn French and see a bit more about Scandinavia and Scandinavian culture without going all the way up north: Normandy is the place to visit. Saves you to travel to Norway…
French Language Courses in Normandy
I am still looking for adult French courses, but if you are between 11 and 19, then there is a 60 hectare campus at Verneuil sur Avre. Oh yes, you will have French classes in authentic Norman-style houses.
Authentic Norman style, not authentic Norman houses, you do want to study French in the modern world luxury!
Just like the French and Dutch courses I took in Belgium, this French courses are in the morning. After taking French language classes, the afternoon is free to enroll in horse riding, tennis, fencing and water polo. Add to that 2 workshops per week on subjects like photography, cookery, carting and drama.
Again as with all French courses abroad: classes are productive, interactive and above all fun.
Make sure you do what I did: get into a class where people come from places you never heard of. That means they most likely don’t speak English, so you have no choice to speak French! Now the thing is: you don’t need to be speaking perfectly: the more mistakes the better, main thing is your mind starts working in French!
