Normally teachers just don’t want to teach their students the juicy French curse words… although you will hear them day in day out once you visit France. Of course teachers are afraid teaching you French swear words as it could be used against them :-)

But from time to time you do need to make an exception, otherwise you will be hearing the same words over and over again in France and wonder why your teacher never mentioned it, therefore thinking: why did I ever fork out so much money and still don’t know the daily used French phrases.

Most used French curse word

Napoleon-bonaparteThis French curse word was noted first time by one of Napoleon Bonaparte’s generals Cambronne. When he found himself outnumbered by the enemy and was asked to surrender, he lifted his sabre and attacked with the defiant syllable: Merde!

During a normal day in France, it seems that a lot of people are still finding themselves outnumbered by enemies… :-)
