What Hillary Clinton can teach Barack Obama about Education

Published by French Immersion under Debate, Study

Who-ever wins the 2008 US Elections, I just want them to do something serious about the education both inside and outside the US. Unfortunately now they are just bitching around and the republicans must be laughing like never before…

Inside the US people should get educated that you cannot believe all you see on TV.

Outside the US, US should help that education is made possible for the people without much money. It’s in their own advantage: as low educated people are the ones that can be the most easy recruited by extremists. So if you want to win the war on terror, start with education first!

You don’t believe me? That’s the difference between the French and the US.

  • The US makes fast decisions based on visualisations (remember the "Anthrax" shown on TV by the Secretary of State in order to make a case for the Iraq Invasion?)
  • The French will look at a case from every angle before making any decision. Yet in order to look from every angle you need:
    • the education to do so
    • the mindset to do so: if you are hungry, you don’t care much about other angles…

Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton hopefully taking on education is a better direction!
